Mood Board

There are a wide variety of images on the mood board I have made. There are a lot of clothes and footwear brands used, and these are quite normally associated with the type of music my magazine will be based upon; rock and indie music. I’ve included ‘Vans’, ‘Converse’, ‘Starbucks’ and ‘Cult’. My target audience would probably own at least one item from the brands. I’ve also included several bands, and band members from rock and indie bands. Some are quite recent, but there are a few classic rock artist included because my target audience listen to current music but also good songs that aren’t so recent. They’d also attend various music events so I’ve included pictures from concerts which have an audience that looks like it consists of rock fans. I added picture of famous tattoo artist Kat Von D, because tattooing is commonly associated with rock and indie music. Although as you can tell from the mood board the magazine I will create will be slightly more rock music orientated. I thought the underworld evolution DVD was quite fitting as it’s quite dark and gothic and I believe this is the sort of film that would appeal to rock music fans. The Rolling Stones magazine I included as well because it’s very similar to the style of magazine I’d like to create, such as the target audience. Ideally, my target audience would find everything included in this mood board appealing and interesting.
