Analysis Of An Existing College Magazine

The college magazine seen to right I think is very good. The colours are very fresh, and work really well together. The main title is red, as this goes really well with the colour of the girl’s top. It draws the reader’s attention to the title and the image, which are both appealing to a young audience. The girl in the image looks relatable with the target audience, and is dressed in something a student would wear. The pose is very natural and very appropriate for the target audience which I’d say was perhaps 16-19. The natural colours in the background work well as they’re not distracting from the main image, or even the text around the images. The text around the image I think is really effective, as it’s the same font as the title; which is a tidy and neat font. Also some of the text is blue, which matches the girl’s shorts. The way they have matched the colour of the text with the clothes the girl in the image is wearing is really effective as it doesn’t clash at all, and all the colours work really well together as they’re simple primary colours. One thing I would say though is the text may be inappropriate for college students. Even though the title is ‘College’, it may be due to the fact this could be an American magazine where college is different and students are much older.
